Thrust spherical roller bearings consist of a shaft washer, housing washer, spherical rollers, and cage. They can simultaneously bear axial and radial loads, but the axial load must exceed a certain value to ensure proper contact between rollers and housing washer raceway.
The housing washer mounting surface has a spherical design providing self-aligning capability to reduce the effect of installation errors. Combines the functional characteristics of thrust bearings and self-aligning bearings, with optimized lubrication conditions between roller end faces and housing washer.
Strong axial load capacity; can bear some radial load simultaneously (radial load must not exceed 55% of axial load). Capable of transmitting large axial loads with relatively low running accuracy, suitable only for low-speed applications.
Widely used in hydroelectric turbine generators, vertical motors, marine thrust shafts, tower cranes, extruders, automotive steering mechanisms, and various heavy equipment.
